Want to straighten your hair permanently without damage?
Detour's technicians are trained and certified in two of the hottest new methods of

What are Ions?

Question: What makes Bio Ionic Professional Hair Care System different from other hair care lines?

Answer: The Bio Ionic Professional Hair Care System is the first professional hair care system in the Western Hemisphere that utilizes Natural Ion Complex to deliver natural negative ions to the hair.

Question: What is Natural Ion Complex?

Answer: Natural Ion Complex is the name for the active mineral complex that naturally produces negative ions, that was discovered in Japan.

Question: What are ions?

Answer: Ions are molecules that have lost or gained an electron and bear a charge of energy. Those that have lost an electron are called positive ions and those that have gained an electron are called negative ions.

Question: How do negative ions affect the hair?

Question: How can I make my hair smooth at home?

Answer: We recommend purchasing a Bio-Ionic blow dryer in addition to using the shampoos and repair conditioners created by both manufacturers. This will insure lasting results and easier maintenance for your home health care.

Question: Can I straighten my hair if it has color or highlights or seems a little damaged?

Answer: Yes. A technician will determine the condition of your hair by doing a test on the most damaged area. At that time you and the stylist will look at the choices you have and make a decision about the product. What is important is that your hair maintains its integrity so that the best results can be achieved.

Question: How much does it cost?

Answer: Quotes cannot be made over the phone.  The price is determined by length, curl, thickness and condition of the hair.  A quote will be given during a consultation only.  The average price of either system runs between $250 to $600.

Question: How often do I have to have it done?

Answer: On an average of 2 times a year.

Question: How long does it last?

Answer: Your hair will not revert back to curly once the process is completed.

Question: What is the youngest age a person can use this system?

Answer: We recommend no younger than 12, but we will make exceptions.
